About Us
Ireland has a long and proud tradition of exquisite metal working.
The famous Tara Brooch being a fine example of design and
workmanship. At Coady Design we endeavour to continue this fine
tradition and specialise in top design, high quality and finely
finished jewellery. Each piece of Irish hallmarked sterling silver
jewellery is designed and made by Tony Coady.

Tony Coady is a Dublin born goldsmith, painter (oils)
and sculptor (bronze, welded steel and sterling silver). He
qualified as a goldsmith and a patternmaker in the seventies. He
also holds an Honours Master’s degree from the National College of
Art & Design and has had more than twenty one-man shows.
Being a patternmaker enables Tony to make a specific
design to a customer’s wishes, for example if a bank or corporation
needs 100 pairs of cufflinks carrying the company logo Tony can
design and cut the original pattern enabling him to cast the 100
pairs of cufflinks with the company logo.
Commissions he has carried out in the past include:
An Taoiseach, Mr Bertie Ahern, Intel Ireland, Michael Flatley (Lord
of the Dance brooches), The Irish Kennel Club, RTE, AGB Scientific
and Dublin Tourism. Tony also makes Chains of Office.
Tony’s range of jewellery is based on celtic design,
Tony’s interpretation of Irish legends, and his own unique abstract
designs.
Tony’s married to Fidelma and they live and work
together in the midlands of Ireland.
